Google Feeling Unrivaled Groovle

Company search engine giant, Google, objecting to the emergence of Groovle.com. Free information search engine that Google has deliberately resemble in terms of look and layout of a page.

Google says as many as 207 Canadian companies have joined Groovle clearly chose the name to create a confusing similarity. Google agreed, taking the domain name must first transfer the data to Google.

Responding to this dispute, mediators from the National Arbitration Forum (NAF) said that Google does not need to provide any evidence of confusion that is happening. Mediation team agreed with the arguments given by the Canadian-based company, which argued that the name is more similar to Groovle or groovy groove than Google's behalf. Such information is quoted from the Telegraph, Friday (1/1/2010).

Providing domain name may be canceled or moved to another company if they do not consider the three elements are forbidden to be broken. First, the provision of similar domain names are identical and create confusion. Second, the owner of domain names do not have the right to own patents. Third, those who feel harmed must demonstrate that the purpose of domain appearance was Uncategorized dropped with intent.

NAF mediator decides that Google submitted objections considered failed to establish the three elements. In other words, presence is not heavy Groovle.com domain expressed by other companies.

There is a message at the bottom of the page Groovle who said "Groovle.com not owned, sponsored or supported by Google". But it is unknown whether this information has been added since NAF decisions issued or not.
