Galileo's finger and teeth found


After missing nearly a century, two fingers and teeth belonged to a world famous astronomer, Galileo Galilei discovered back in an auction event in Rome, Italy, recently. Previously teeth and fingers are collected by one of Galileo's Italian fans and continue to change hands from generation to generation. However, over time, the existence of a box containing two items are missing in 1905.

At first buyer at these auctions do not realize that the box containing the relics of Galileo. But, out of curiosity, he was contacted Paolo Galluzi, head of Museum of History and Science in the City of Florence. After examining historical records and other documents, concluded Galluzi teeth and fingers is the property of Galileo.

As reported by the Associated Press, Saturday (21/11), Galileo was an astronomer, philosopher, and physicist who has been censured by the Vatican for saying the earth revolved around the sun. At that time the church in the Vatican teaches the earth is the center of the solar system. In early 1990, Pope John Paul II said the church had been wrong to think, and justify claims of Galileo.
